Carrot Cake


Carrot Cake !!!

Ingredients

1. 270g (9 ½ oz) fine plain flour
2. 2 tbsp baking powder
3. ½ tsp salt
4.  1tsp ground cinnamon
5. 450g (1b) carrots (peeled and grated)
6. 3 large eggs
7. 120ml (4 fl oz) buttermilk
8. 300g (10 oz) caster sugar
9. 240ml (8 fl oz) vegetable oil
10. 1 tsp vanilla essence

Steps!!!

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 175’c ( 350’f ) generously grease two 20 cm ( 8 inch ) tins set aside.

Step 2. Sieve the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together in a mixing bowl.

Step 3. In a separate bowl mix together the grated carrots, eggs, buttermilk, sugar oil and vanilla.

Step 4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the carrot mixture, mix until combined , divide the batter between the prepared tins.

Step 5. Bake for 45 mins or until a wooden skewer inserted into the centre and comes out clean, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tins on a rack then…

WALLA!
